MANATEE, from the scientific family Trichechidae, are large aquatic, mostly herbivorous marine mammals sometimes known as sea cows. An average Manatee weighs 1,000 lbs and is 9 ft. long. They graze in shallow, marshy coastal areas and rivers of the Caribbean Sea, the Gulf of Mexico and elsewhere. Manatees are very intelligent and show signs of complex associated learning similar to dolphins.

The main causes of death for the sea cows are human-related including habitat destruction.

These are designed to make you think about the environment, and they do. Great that they also give back a little, and are so comfortable. They make great gifts my friends loved getting them.
